So, is there a charge for Dropbox? So far, it seems you simply create your account, download the tool and off you go! <Smiles>
Right? Or is there more? -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Twitter: http://twitter.com/songbird49a ---- Original Message ---- From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, September 20, 2010 11:28 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: UltraIso
Hi Eleanor, Create an account, then log in and download the Dropbox application and install it to your computers. Now any computer you install that software to has a folder in the Documents or My Documents folder called My Dropbox. Any files you put in the My Dropbox folder, including subfolders, will by synchronised to all computers that have Dropbox installed that are linked to your account. You can then also share subfolders with others, so that others can sync with you, and they will only see the subfolders you share with them. It is one hell of a program, and everyone should use it that are interested in syncing multiple computers. You can even undelete files you delete by accident by re-downloading them from the Dropbox web site. I can't speak highly enough of this application, it does exactly what it says on the tin with no fuss, and is as accessible as copy and paste. These drives are quite cheap now, and then download something like Karen's Replicator, which is free, and an excellent little backup too. http://www.karenware.com. Is it VI user friendly? I do and it's great. I've just paid for a registration key so that I can manipulate disk images larger than 300MB, which is not possible in the trial. It was only $29.95 (£19 in British pounds). I will also get free lifetime updates, unlimited technical support via e-mail, bla bla bla. Just waiting for this code now. I tried other free and shareware ones and prefer UltraIso for its ease of use and powerful features. Think the website is www.ultraiso.com.
