You can get an Asus EEEPC with an 80 GB hard drive.  A
colleague has one, and reckons battery life on hers is in
the area of 4 - 5 hours.  Mind you, that's without running
JAWS.

I am surprised the Asus EEE mobile PC isn't 
getting more of a mention.  Its a mobile PC like 
we're discussing here but the hard drive is flash 
based.  It only has a 4 or 8 GB drive depending 
on model but you can use SD cards to boost 
this.  This makes it quieter and the battery life 
is over 3 hours, I'm sure I heard 3.5.
