Sadly Steve, she had it long before her encounter with the lovely lump
of HP!! (smile). I don't carry it around though. It sits on top of my
hi-fi, where I play my music from its hard drive. I love it for that
purpose as it has a really good sound. I'd never lug it around
otherwise!! (laughs).

Hi Tris,

No wonder Jackie has a bad back <Smile>.

My Wind has a 10 inch screen and is 1.3KG in weight. Forget lumps of
laptops nowadays that are almost as big as desktops.

All the best

Steve

"My lump of an HP Steve has a 17 wide screen and a numeric keypad on it.
Love it to bits, but not one to lug about!! "

The Advent 4211 will be considerably smaller than a 17 inch model, not
to say less hernia inducing weight. I saw one of those HP units and it
was large and silvery in a way that had a passing resemblance to a small
ocean going yacht in terms of size. The 4211 has a 12 inch screen by my
recollection and probably weighs in on or less than the 2kg mark, the
display panels are a significant contribution to the weight you carry..

Regards.
