Hi Kevin, This is a slider control, and basically the lower the value, the lower the security. Personally I've turned UAC off; the prompts used to get really annoying for me. I'm having problems in configuring User Account Control. On clicking on settings I am presented with a box showing different levels which do, I asume relate to the level of security required by the user. However There is no explanation as to what this all means and having looked at Microsoft Help I remain confused. Can anyone please advise on how I configure UAC? I am tempted to turn it off or, if this is not possible to put it on a low setting as I find with Zone Alarm (or similar) UAC is unneccessary. > > Many thanks, > > Kevin > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
