I havent' been following this thread just chimed in.

How do you detect the architecture on what?

If it's a machine you have at the moment,

Windows key pause  will bring up the system info screen on XP and above
platforms.

This will tell you under System Type what the platform is.

If it's in a shop/online ask Customer Services to make sure youa re getting
the one you want.
