Hi everyone,
Brian asked about the UKVIEMP list, which I mentioned in Andy's
thread. So as not to cause confusion or divert that thread, I've posted
this under its own subject heading. Below are details of the UKVIEMP
list, which some of you may find helpful.

UNITED KINGDOM VISUAL IMPAIRMENT EMPLOYMENT DISCUSSION GROUP
UKVIEMP is the United Kingdom Visual Impairment Employment internet
discussion group. It is a free service, hosted at ukvijobs.com and open
to anyone interested in matters relating to employment of people who are
visually impaired.
To join the UKVIEMP group, simply follow the following procedure:-
1. Send an email to ukviemp-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx with the line
subscribe ukviemp your-email-address
in the body of the message. (insert your own email address in place of
"your-email-address" in the above line.)
2. You will receive an Address Verification Request email from the
list management system. Respond to this, quoting the text of the
Address Verification Request email in full in the body of your reply.
You will now be subscribed to the UKVIEMP group and will receive
messages from other group members as these are posted. You can post
messages to the UKVIEMP group by addressing them to ukviemp@xxxxxxxxxxxx
or by replying to incoming messages.
During the subscribe process you will receive two additional automatic
messages from the list management system. You can ignore these
messages, unless something goes wrong.
In the event of any difficulty with the subscribe process, or any aspect
of list operation, please send email to info@xxxxxxxxxxxx or contact the
list owner, Brendan Magill, direct at brendan@xxxxxxxxxxxx
The UKVIEMP discussion list is just one of a number of services being
hosted at ukvijobs.com. The United Kingdom Visual Impairment Small
Enterprise discussion list, UKVISE, and the Visual Impairment Sector Job
Vacancies advertising list, VISECTOR, are also hosted at ukvijobs.com
and other
