Not quite - I have three different keyboard language settings that I can alt
shift between depending on what I'm doing - you set the default to whatever
you want it to be -

Control panel, regional and language options, languages tab, text services
and input languages, default input language.

Delete the US keyboard after installing the Uk one, ore it will come back
every time you re-boot and you will have to use the short-cut key Alt +
Shift.
