[access-uk] Re: Typing capital letters on an E61

I'm using an N91 which I've had just over a year and still love. The only fancy attachment it has is TALKS. That fancy enough for you?

Judging by some of the jokes and funnies people send me, I would say predictive texting would have a fit on my phone. (smile.)

Have fun.

What phone have you got again? Any fancy attachments? getting worried
about you honeybun.

Dave

No fruitcake, I can think of other things I'd love to throw across the
room, such as a remote control when I select the channel and it doesn't
fire up.
But definitely not my beloved phone, no way. Sometimes you can get
frustrated with the sender of the text you are replying to, but never
the baby itself. (smile.)

Jackie,

Sorry but you've forgotten to add:

Try writing a text message, get frustrated, throw phone across room

Go back into menus and turn predictive text off and remember never to
try again.

Dave

Hi Carol

If you want to type in say a phone number or code in the middle of a
text, just hold down the applicable key or tap for the relevant number
of presses until you cycle between the letter and number of that key.
For example, if you want number 3, you can either hold down that key
for
a second or two, or tap it four times until you get past D, E, F to 3.

As for predictive text ... yuck. I just can't stand it, or probably
more accurately, can't get the hang of it.

If you want to turn it on using the N95, go into the menu, then Tools,
Settings, General, Personalisation, arrow down to Language, then
select.
Now arrow down to Predictive Text, and change it to on. After that,
back out to the main window.

I'm sure there will be a shortcut to do that, but I don't know it.

Have fun.

Yeah, whilst we're on that subject ... how do you switch to a series
of
numbers in the middle of a text message and can anyone explain to me
again, please, about predictive text? I want to have another go and
see
if I can master it this time!

Thanks.
