If the drive or other components get to hot the machine will become very unstable.----- Original Message ----- From: "Kulvinder Singh Bhogal" <kbhogal1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, November 04, 2012 10:16 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Tvonics max hard drive sizeCheers for that.By the way, any chance you could give me instruction on how to swap out the original drive on the Z500HD please?I know that you have done this before but I have lost the email that you sent a long while back. Thanks again. Yes, the machine will probably determine the sound quality. To be honest, i've found the sound to be excellent thus far, it depends onhowmuch of an audio purist you are. personally i think its very good. I doubt very much that your kit will degrade the sound quality. Thatwasthe hole point of HDMI, high defenition multi-media interface for 5.1/7.1 surround sound setups. all the best, Mo. Do you know, oranybody else on list able to say what the sound quality is like fromthe TVonics? Thinking about it a bit, isn't it always the case when a piece ofkit, such as ann. old VHS, or now DVDR or PVR machine is the first item connected to the input source [aerial] that that machine will determine the sound quality? - Andy ----- Original Message ----- *From:* Mobeen Iqbal <mailto:mobeeniqbal@xxxxxxxxx> *To:* access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> *Sent:* Sunday, November 04, 2012 3:54 PM*Subject:* [access-uk] Re: Which device carries the sound sourcein a TV set up? Hi Andy. Yep that sounds about right. The more devices you have between HDMI sources the more processing goes on. There are different versions of HDMI, it may be that your devices have different versions/varients depending on how old they are. Also, thecablescan make a difference. The tvonics has an SPDIF socket on the back, why not connect directly to your amp or whatever ifsound'syour main concern? And to clarify, yes sound is obviously boughtin to the unit via your aerial in the first instance. cheers, Mo. What I mean, if the first bit of kit in the set up processes sound poorly, then no matter how good the last bit is, thesoundquality will have been compromised. Is that correct? Basically, when the aerial bring the signal in to the TVonics, isit processed there, before passing to the TV, processed again there, and then passed to my sound bar's amp, and processedagain? -Andy** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq-- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail.
