[access-uk] Re: Tvonics Freeview Talking Recorder

I have a HD ready t.v which is about five years old now and has one HD connection which already has an HDMI lead plugged into a blue Ray/dvd player. My question is, is there an adapter which would allow me to plug the HDMI from the TVonex talking Freeview recorder alongside the blue ray Player and where can I get one from or can I just use an existing skart lead to plug the box into the t.v.

All the best

Martin

David, might I just add it's got all the recording functions and reads your electronic programme guide and you are able to record 2 programmes at the same time.

The box is fully accessible and Ivona a high quality real speech is used.

I have been using the Tvonics box for the past 3 weeks and absolutely love it. Pretty much every feature speaks apart from the BBC Iplayer. The box is of course upgradable so it may well be possible for Tvonics to make the Iplayer speak.

I really don't think this is a major downside as everything else on the box is accessible. The speech is smooth and responsive, you can add, delete and edit timers, You can series link tv/radio programs and much more. When fast forwarding and rewinding you have audio feedback as to how far you have moved through the program.

A couple of years ago it was looking as if an accessible PVR would be in the range of £500/600 but we have a box for almost a quarter of that figure.

I don't think anyone will be dissapointed by either the features or the performance of this box.

It's what we've been waiting for.

I am writing this from a personal standpoint rather than from an RNIB sales point of view.
