Hi Ibrahim

I'm going to throw in one other alternative here which I need to check out
before deciding where to go for ours. I received a letter this week from
the Switch-Over people regarding digital TV which contained an audio cd as
well as the same documentation in print.

Reading the letter suggests that they can provide a recordable Freeview
device for your TV. Naturally, this depends on whether you receive
benefits as to whether you are charged, and how much. But if this new
product can be supplied at a reduced amount, I will naturally go that route
if it is permissible. If not, then it will be RNIB for us as it's set up
out of the box.

But I thought I would mention this in the event that some people may still
have an opportunity to enquire with a view to purchase. Analogue is
switched off in Northern Ireland in October, and the letter categorically
states they can provide a recordable device for your TV, but note there is a
charge. I will ring them today and report back if people are interested or
are eligible?

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Ann.

It can be purchased directly from the RNIB for £179.95 from their online
shop or by ringing their customer services. Instructions are available in
electronic form from their website and they can also supply other formats I
think.

All the best, Ibrahim.
