Ibby,

Thanks for taking a look for me. I hadn't thought to look at Maplin.
Now, there's another outing into Reading for me.

If anyone is using one of these then I'd be interested in your findings.

Ah, Ibby, whilst writing, I did write you ages back to tell you that the
book about Walworth was now available, as we have a box, but had to
presume you didn't want it as I did not hear back. If this is not the
case, please let me know.

Thanks again for this information.

Hi Carol,

I have done a search on Maplins website and found the following. Don't
know how accessible it is as I have not got this device.

Phono PreAmp Studio USB - Audio Res

With ease and speed, the phono PreAmp Studio USB can eternalise your LP,

Use the phono PreAmp to record your good old audio recordings to your PC

Subject: [access-uk] A LONG SHOT!

Hi all,

I have been in conversation with others on the GoldWave list (some while
back) and discovered that the inability to copy from one's record deck
to make a good digital recording on the PC is because of preamp, or the
lack of it. We have some older LP's that friends are desperate to have
and they're no longer available. Does anyone have a good solution for
copying these, either so that I can get the kit myself or perhaps ask
them, kindly (and for a nominal fee) to copy them for us?

If anyone can help this would be great. Thanks, and I trust I'm not
stepping on toes by posting this!
