Barry, in Windows XP it's in Control Panel>User Accounts. Look for "Change the way users log on and off" and in your account page create a password.

Subject: [access-uk] Turn on user name and password

Hi all

At the moment, my computer by-passes the log on screen, so I don't have to
type in a user name and password. However, I'd like to enable the log on so that I do have to type my password. I'd appreciate it if someone would tell
me how to do this.

Google only seems to be able to tell me how to enable auto log on, and it
involves messing with the registry, which I don't really want to do.

Cheers

Barry
