I thought there was a setting in Control Panel for this. I know it doesn't help Tony but I had to turn the trackpad off on my Mac for similar reasons so I can understand how irritating it is when on. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Aedan O'Meara" <aedanomeara@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi Tony,Hinge a piece of card over the pad with cellotape. It can be flicked up forsighted use and flicked down over the pad for you. This was my answer for the HP laptop I am typing to you on. I have sighted assist but we can't see an option to disable it's mouse. Anyone know how to do this either on the lappop itself or by going in to 'settings'?
