Hi Tony,
Hinge a piece of card over the pad with cellotape. It can be flicked up for
sighted use and flicked down over the pad for you.
This was my answer for the HP laptop I am typing to you on.

Subject: [access-uk] Touch Pad in The Dell Vostro

Hi all,

I have a Dell Vostro 1550 laptop and wish to disable the touch pad so as I
don't keep activating it inadvertently.

I have sighted assist but we can't see an option to disable it's mouse.

Anyone know how to do this either on the lappop itself or by going in to
'settings'?

Best,

Tony Sweeney
