Hi Billy.Get your daughter to download a free trial of tune-up utilities, that includes a startup and service analysis function which will help in determining where the problem is. In my experience, I've always found that its usually one or two programs which are the culprits as I've many applications on my machine which load at start-up but hardly any degradation of performance.
