Hi Carol,

Try it when you have sighted help.  I bet you're not holding the button in
quite long enough first go.

This is one area of the iPhone that is shamefully inaccessible.  It wouldn't
have hurt them to make it vibrate when it's time to release the button, like
they do with Android phones.

Can only add, Jackie, that my iPhone, mysteriously perhaps, has never booted
for me on first boot, even if i count really carefully, add or subtract a
sec or two whilst holding in the button. I always have to boot the second
time!
