Hi guys.
I'm a very big fan of BBC 6 music and today, the best presenter was on - Guy
Garvey - from 2 to 4 pm.
But I wanted to go to my local pub and listen to the England game from Wembly,
thinking that I could use the Iplayer to listen this evening to Guys show,
broadcassted today.
I'm a JAWS user and as far as I am concerned the BBC website is totally
unaccessable.
I launched the Iplayer and in the first search engine I typed in "Guy Garvey".
I got something like 200 llinks, but none of them referred to Guy!
The old Accessable Iplayer, developed by Alistair King used to give me a list
of all radio stations and all I needed to do was select 6 music then go through
folders of all the presenters.
For instance, I could open the "Guy Garvey" folder and I'd be presented with
about 5 shows from pdrevious weeks, which are free to listen to again for about
2 weeks.
Alas, I think Alistair King has given it up because the BBC keeps changing
things around.
So It's hopless! I've mist the show and now it's gone.
I tried for ages to contact the BBC on their website, where it says "Contact
us" and off I went again with dozens of other items and of course, yet another
search engine.
So I cannot even send them an email to complain about their terrible access to
their pages.
I know that there are a few list members on this list who are close to the BBC
and would like to ask them for an e-mail address that I can insert in a
message, in order for my message to go directly to the people who can help me.
So if anyone knows of such an email address, I'd be very pleased as I could
drop them a message this evening as easy as writing now to this list.
Very best wishes.
Andy.
