Hi Sandra and list. I've been scouring the MS kb trying to come up with something, but what I've seen so far has been unsatisfactory. As you've already pointed out you're set to automatically compact files in the background in the Maintenance tab, so that rules that out. You mentioned it started happening after an update, the only thing I can suggest is winding your system back to the point before the update was applied, if you can pin-point it. This however could inconvenience stuff you're doing, so if we could find another solution it would be preferable. If you don't manage to sort it in the meantime, I'll keep looking into it to see what I can find out. Hi Listers, After doing one of the Windows updates, every time I go to close Outlook Express, I get the message that to save disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages with an okay and a cancel button. There isn't the usual don't show me this message again check box where you can turn this message off. I've already set OE to compact messages in the background so I don't need it to nag me about compacting messages. Anyone got any ideas how to turn the thing off as it's starting to do my head in. Cheers, Sandra. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
