Thanks, Saqib, I have a lot of news-related apps for both, I will never be
stuck.

Kind Regards,

Hi. Why not download the Play Newsstand from Google as there are plenty of
news sources and it's all accessible.

I'm going to wait for the 9.1 release because, if what I have read is
anything to go by, there are a couple of bugs that Apple urgently need
to fix. Like you, John, I have plenty of news apps to use when I want

hi there well to me it just seems a gimmick to an update and again
like i said in my last post what else can they do with the i divices now.

i hardly ever listen to the news anyway it's so damn depressing
1smile, 1smile,

as eleanor says why not just use the bbc news app if you want that
sort of thing.

again for me to keep messing about by re-setting my region is a pain
and again there are plenty of sources where one can get news from if
that is what they need.

Nothing to do with voices, just how dates, numbers and currencies are
displayed etc. It may, however, change the default dialect of
VoiceOver and text to speech in general.

Hi all
iOS 9 sports a brand new News app which allows you to read the
news
straight from your device. But there is a catch. While it is available
in the US, UK and Australia initially, you have to change your
device's region to United States. To do this:

1. Open Settings > general > language and region.

2. Double tap region and double tap on "United States" in the long
list of countries. You may want to use your rotor and set it to
headings so you can jump to the letter quickly and easily.

3. Double tap the "done" button, and reboot your device when prompted.

I've just done this on my iPhone 5s, and now have the News app. It
is
completely accessible with VoiceOver.

Happy reading!
