Hi it's not built in. It uses your SAPI5 speech settings for the Nano to speech. The speech must be installed through iTunes though.

In addition to what has been said already, I had a brief look at the I-Tell at Sight Village when it was launched. I actually thought it was a very clever device in that it allows you to use any iPod except the iTouch and iPod Shuffle devices. From what little I saw of it, I thought the voices weren't too bad compared to some I've heard. As long as I could hear what I am selecting to play, I'd be happy with that. I'm still yet to try out a Nano to see what it is like with the built-in speech menu system. I know a friend who's got an iAudio, but can't remember what exactly it is, apart from that it's a hard drive-based player. -- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: CH9675@xxxxxxxxxxx MSN: CH9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266----- Original Message ----- From: "Erica" <rebellion220@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2008 12:31 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: The i-TelI heard it at sight village and it was fine to me, It was dectalk.
