Hi Pele

I concur with this, and add that I can't have those chimes that seem to
populate the Plextalk range whether you want them or not.  I primarily use
the VRS for reading books, and I simply can't fault it for that.  It does
not record as well as the Plextalk family, but it is ideal for basic notes
if that is what you want.  I am not a huge fan of the Acapella TTS voices,
but this is subjective of course.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi

I have used the Plextalk, but not the Plextalk Linio, but I think that my
comments are still relevant.

The Plextalk is very good for recording, and it is possible to create and
edit text. The Plextalk Linio also has a calendar. You can play internet
radio but you have to get the stream files yourself. You can also download
podcasts, but, again, you have to find the feeds yourself.

The VR Stream does not record as well, and you cannot create or edit text.
You can listen to internet radio by finding all the stations on Ootunes. You
can download podcasts by searching a podcast directory and adding them to a
list.

I don't know what the TTS voices are like on the Plextalk Linio. The
Plextalk has a horrible Daniel.

I believe the VR Stream sounds better than the Plextalk if you speed it up
for rapid reading.

I hope this helps, and I hope someone can talk more about the Plextalk
Linio.
