I'd add to this things like easy access to various keyboards which can be fully functional, not just used to be able to coppy /paste stuff. Also though not ideal for everyone because of security concerns, abilitty to install apps outside the market/play store. Also the choice of browsers

hi. not sure about it having been turned off, all i know is whenever
i've been in to a shop and tried the triple tap trick, its never worked
and i've had to get someone sighted in to activate accessibility, and by
that time i've felt like walking away. Also, when apple release upgrades
to IOS and accessibility breaks, they may not be in a hurry to fix
reported issues from what i've heard. Sighted people have also had
trouble with IOS7, for example the keyboard looks different and despite
numerous requests on the apple forums to bring the old keyboard back, i
don't think they've done so. I'm not saying android's perfect at all,
but at least problems can be remedied without breaking the bank.

this is correct just the same as IOS if you switch the triple tap off it won't work for the next person. I hear that the triple tap has been switched off buy default now is this correct? if so it is a step backwards. thanks in advance.

Saqib, the two-finger trick only works if the phone is new. If someon'e
used it without accessibility being turmned on, they'd have to use the
menus. At least that's my understanding. It wouldn't be hard for Google
to amke all this better than it is, I'm sure.

I'm not really convinced with that mehtod of turning accessibility
on. I tried a friend/s Samsung S3 Mini from the setup screen and it
didn't do anything. I tried to get my daughter to turn Talkback on
her S3 Mini and kept on getting a error message about setting the
right language when the phone was purchased here in the UK. This is
why people just don't trust the Android OS because it doesn't do
what it says on the tin I'm afraid. Another example is when I bought
a tablet and Talk back would read what I was touching and then it
would cut out and read nothing. I mean how bloody shabby is that.
I'm honestly trying to give Android the benefit of doubt put these
incidents don't help a jot. Large propotion of people turn to IOS
because it's trusted and Voiceover is well polished. Another words
it does what it says on the tin. I would love to promote Android as
well as IOS but how can I recommend something that just never works
    as it should!
