Hi Martin, afraid I'm still way back in the 20th century and don't have Skype,
however, I do have a real phone and it's more or less free to use!

It's great of you to offer, but I won't have a chance before Wednesday, either
during the day or evening, as I'm preparing some files for work tomorrow at the
moment and I probably won't get clear tomorrow until late evening.

If you are willing to give me a phone number I can reach you at on Wednesday
evening and it's convenient for you, you can email it to me at
lister@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

All the best,
Barry G

Hi Martin, as I interpreted the verbal instruction from the software, I
should raise the phone it until I think the document is in the frame and the
tones will then help with orientation.

On my phone, the tones then vary as you tilt the phone, however, I'm not sure
if it is telling me I have it totally horizontal but skewed or whether it is
tilted to the front/back axis or the left/right axis!

I found it hard to describe the various possibilities and am still not sure
I've said what I mean clearly, so I feel sorry for anyone who knows what to do
and then tries to explain it to me!

  All the smiling best,
  Barry G

not with it crashing my phone, and re the tones? press the camra
button, and hold it in, move the phone off the paper until you hear a
constant high pitch tone, then release the button.

    hth.

Hi Barbara, they are referring to the key variously known as the pound or
the hash key immediately to the right of the 0 key on most phones. That foxed
me too at first!

By the way, has anyone else had problems with the software crashing their
phone? I'm using an N82 and it keeps hanging mine.

I have also so far failed to work out how to use the tones generated as an
aiming aid...

    ATB,
    Barry G

Has anyone managed to get a TextScout demo started on their phone? I'm
currently trying but it's asking me to press the Shark? key to evaluate the
software. Which key is this?

      Thanks.
