Hi Alison, open the conversation in messages. At the very top there is the back
button, from their swipe right once to land on the callers number. Double tap
the number and the info button will appear. I have just tried it on an old
conversation and it works. Hope I understood you correctly.

This only works the first time the message appears. If you make the mistake
of answering the message and sending it and then think it would be useful to
add that caller, the information option disappears and never reappears in the
string of messages.

Open the message. At the top tap on info. And then tap again the caller’s
number, an option to add that caller to your contacts should appear.
Hope that works

I’m not sure I have the answer for you but do wonder if anyone has a tip for
adding a caller to one’s contacts.
I know I have done this before, but perhaps I did it before answering, as I
currently have a string of text messages and want to add the sender to my
contacts but can see no options to do so.

Subject: [access-uk] Text messages on IPhone
Hi
A strange one here.
Until 29th July 2019 when I received a text message from my wife it gave her
name. Now it displays her email address. Hopefully there is an easy
solution to this.
I hope someone can resolve this for me.
