Hi Mel,

abbyy FineReader is a far better alternative to TextBridge and can be used to scan books no matter what size they are, unlike TextBridge Millennium.

Hi James,

I had no idea that Text Bridge was being phased out. Do you know of an
alternative?

Mel

Hi Mel

Not sure Textbridge is even officially around any more. Also keep in mind
that the JAWS scripts for text bridge don't officially support the
last/latest version so although it will work fine with scanning into Word,
you might have to use your JAWS cursor to get the various parts of the
main Textbridge window into focus.

HiMel
I've been using Textbridge Pro Millennium for years and found it quite
easy if a little fiddly to set up. Textbridge Pro 11 is available insome
stores for £25 discount price and it links in well with Word. I had some
difficulty finding a store but you could hunt around . Take a look at
Scansoft.com for further information.
