Thanks for the info, such a shame, back to the searching for
something that may not exist. As the song goes I still haven't found
what I'm looking for.
Maybe Mo's development of a freesat/freeview recordable box is soon
on it's way.

Unfortunately for you, I can confirm that recording on one platform while
watching something else on the other doesn't work. In other words, you
can't record a programme on Freeview while watching something different on
Freesat. I set a timer for a gardening programme on BBC1 on Freeview while
I was watching Coronation Street on Freesat. When the gardening programme
began on Freeview, Voice Guide announced it was jumping to that channel
because I was recording it. It asked me if I wanted to continue recording
Gardening Together, or switch to ITV on Freesat. So you definitely can't do
it. This isn't a deal breaker for us because we don't record much anyway.
I must admit though that I love the TV, it offers a lot more than the
Samsung does for us.

Thanks for the remote doc much appreciated. I wait with baited breath to see
if you can record on one platform whilst watching the other, this would be a
cruncher for me as we like to record whilst watching something else, if you
can't then I'd stick with what I've got.
