I remember those Barbara, and how the machine smelled of someone ironing or 
something.  I hated plastic Braille as it hurt my fingers.

Do they still use the thermoform machine in schools for embossing maps and 
pictures? Remember getting the sheets of paper and them still hot from the 
machine. Bet health and safety nowadays would give some directive about burning 
poor little kiddies hands!
