Hi all
Just wanted to alert you all to an issue which I had with the latest JAWS
update (8.0.1163). Basically, I found that SayAll was broken in all
applications, in that JAWS was giving an "unknown Function Call to
IsMagicRunning" erorr message before doing the SayAll. FS are aware of this,
although they seem to think that it's limited to Outlook and Outlook express,
which is not the case in my experience. Anyway, here's what you do to sort it
out, courtesy of the JFW list on Freelists and Google:

1. Open the start menu, and navigate to Programs > Jaws 8.0 > explore JAWS >
explore my settings.

2. Delete the files default.jss and default.jsb.

3. Close down and restart JAWS.

This should sort the problem out. Obviously, if you want to reimplement any
modifications to the default script file which you made before installing the
update, the best thing to do would be to save a text copy before you delete it
and then paste the scripts into the new default.jss file which will be created
the next time you open the script Manager.

hope this is useful.
