No you need skype if your doing work on another computer,
This is so you can hear the audio.
But there is a program for transferring files from 1 PC to another I
can't really remember much about this but I do know it let you go into a
directory of files and you could copy and put them on your computer.
I seem to remember this worked very well.
But It's so long ago that I can't really remember, I do know that if you
want to say fix a problem on someones PC using this software you do need
screen reader on the PC your fixing.
then you need skype to port the audio or the phone would do it as well.
Rdp works much better but logs the other user off. ftp is the way to go
if they want you to grab files.
Or drop box will do it as well. Hth.

that's correct you press the said key and it gives you keyboard control
over the other computer. It's a bit laggy but it sort of works. I have
done work on my girl friends boxes this way.

there is a file trance fer program in team viewer this is very
accessible and as far as I remember you will be able to grab files from
the said computer without skype.
I have used it to help people but it isn't the best solution in my view.
Remote desktop works quite well using nvda. the only thing is it does
log the other user off that your working with hope this is of some help.
