I uninstalled the supposedly latest version of PC suite, as it too was not
working with the latest phone firmware.
What is the latest version of PC suite please, and please note my phone
firmware is version 3.10.023.

It is not what Nokia are up to, it is human error I am afraid. You can't
use the earlier Nokia PC Suite from the Blindsea web site with the latest
firmware of the N91 8GB, it just does not work. You are using old
software
with new phone firmware. It just ain't happening. You must use the
latest
PC Suite.

I tried using windows explorer and no luck. Uninstalled PC suite 6.85,
and
installed 6.82 from the blind sea website. In the install application
panel, it read, "unable to show the contents of the selected phone model
using this application". Checked the Nokia software updater, and I have
the
latest version installed, 3.10.023, So still have a phone that doesn't
talk,
and not at all impressed with PC Suite.
This has left me wondering what the hell Nokia are up to.

You can't install with Windows Explorer, unless you have PC Suite
installed.
If you do, this method should work.

phone using windows explorer and for get using PC Suite, if that's
possible
and explorer doesn't crash, as it has done in the past. Other wise it'll

Thanks for that, however I have another problem at the moment. The
Nokia PC Suite, fails to fully interact with my N91 8GB. I am using
PC Suite version 6.85.14.1 and the application installer fails to
work
with my phone. At the top of the application installer, it says
connected to N91, but on the phone selector side, in the drop down,
it
says no compatible phone selected, and no other choice. That's when
it works, as most of the time when I click on the application, a
dialog box appears, announcing that the application has experienced a
problem and needs to close.
It's very disappointing that the PC suite does not have a check for
latest update option in its help menu, however I believe I have the
latest version, unless someone can point me in the direction of a
later version. The one I am using is, 6.85.14.1
Anyone else having same problem with PC Suite? Any help much
appreciated.

just install it tot he phone via the PC suite, and then you go to
restore license in the register menu of talks, when it is speaking

you are still using the same phone
