Saqib, either that, or nobody can offer it.

How about all the other major networks should offer Talks Standard? At
least people can choose other networks.

Well Jackie Vodafone do refund the 50 pounds actually in fairness, the
issue
arose this week when Neil told someone that it would cost 150 pounds
irrespective of having Talks on the phone which had been put on by Voda
for
free. I am not wishing to complain about Talk Nav but I am seeking to get
official confirmation from Talks dealers. Interestingly I do not appear to
have targeted any on this list either. Strangest thing of all, on the
Talks
list, there is total silence on the question too.

If I had the time or inclination Eleanor, I'd go straight to Voda and ask, but they probably wouldn't understand! (smile). But definitely like you, I
thought it was £50, so I'm asking for myself as much as for anyone else.

I'll let you know.

Jackie Cairns

Maybe you would ask Talk Nav for an official statement on this as Neil
says
this is not the case. However, we have asked Neil and other Talks dealers
for comment on Talks list about this to no avail.

Hi Eleanor

It has also been my understanding that you can jump from Standard - which
Vodafone offer - to Premium for £50. I will ask around and let you know
if
I get any differing answers.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Subject: [access-uk] Talks Dealers Question

I am aware that there is a Talks list. Hoqwever, I am seeking
clarification
regarding Talks Premium and strange to say none of the Talks dealers on
list
are responding to the discussion on the query.

Scenario:

Person has contract with Vodafone and receives a phone as part of the
contract. As a blind person, Vodafone will put on Talks Standard free of
charge.

It has been my understanding that it is possible for an individual to
upgrade this Talks Standard to Talks Premium by paying an additional £50.
However, the person has been told this is not possible and that if he
wishes
to have Talks Premium on his phone, he must pay £150. Has there been a
recent change in policy perhaps? This figure of £150.00 comes from a
reuputable Talks Dealer who is well informed, to say the least.
