Ibrahim,

As the person who originally set up the Access-UK list, I believe that discussion of talks related items is more than suitable content for this list. I understand that your issue refers to two individuals, but, I would point out that some of the topics may well be of interest to other members on this list who are not members on either of the dedicated talks list. If their discussions generated considerable traffic which was irrelevant to the list, then I am quite sure that George, who is the Moderator for the list is quite capable and will intervene and call order.

Steve

Hi.

I have no problem with people talking about talks, but Eleanor and Chris are both on the talks list, this is established fact as I receive emails from them both through the list mechanism daily. All I am really saying is that if they are both members of the talks mailing list and thus in direct communication through that list mechanism, they can surely address their questions and answers to each other through a dedicated list, or even directly to each other. There are other things in this world apart from talks and mobile phones that interest me and I want to be of assistance and ask questions about other things. I wasn't saying or trying to suggest or shape conversation, I've no problem with people discussing talks that aren't on the official talks mailing list such as yourself. I'm sorry if I caused confusion, but my message was specifically directed towards Chris and Eleanor as I've no wish to receive dozens of emails a day like I was on the talks mailing list which yesterday generated something like 150 messages in one evening.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Ibrahim, there are some people, me included, who are not on the Talks list for the same reason as yourself but would want to know the answer to a question such as Eleanor was asking. Isn't Talks what you would call access technology anyway?

Cheers,
Sandra.
