As far as I know Rockbox, (the alternative firmware that people are using on
irivers, Argo's and some Ipods), isn't available on this model.

Hi Carol.
Unfortunately, I have not used the software that comes with the Olympus
machines, though I know it is used in part at least for backing up the
contents of the Olympus for safe keeping. I believe you can also use the
software for playing recordings and possibly editing them as well. I do not
know how acessible this software is.

10 hours recording time, USB2 4 recording qualities, 3 folders each holding
100 files, VCVA, index setting, slow fast playback, digital wave software to
transfer.
Any access help welcomed, I can manage to record, playback, delete by touch
so I am hoping to be able to do much more.

Hi All, I was given a digital voice recorder for my birthday, it does all
kinds of wonderful things, but to date I only know how to record live sound
with its built in mike. My son has installed it on my computer and I am
hoping to move my files onto it.
My question is:
Can I download talking softwear that will enable me to use the menues and
will I be able to put my books on there and Hear them then? I mean, if I
put my poetry file on which is an email file, how can I access it as
normally it would be my jaws on the computer that would read it to me?
I have heard somewhere there is talking softwear for the ipod, would it be
the same and where could I get it from?
