I read a Which report years ago about oven cleaners, and the very best thing
they recommended at the time was Brillo pads. I have found that their
recommendation was a good one. I don't like spray on oven cleaners, as they
can have fumes and can burn the skin if you aren't very careful.

Hi Jackie.
Ian sounds a bit like me and probably, if we were honest, many guys. But
can you ask Ian for a recommendation for an Oven Cleaner. I like Mr.
Muscle, but perhaps there is something better on the market. Can you also
ask Ian about those Persil Automatic tablets and whither or notthey are
worth the extra 22p. Better go now and peel the tatties. Got to look busy
and don't want Pauline to think that I've been sitting on my arse all
afternoon. Yes the job of house-husband is not an easy life. I've just
this minute sat down - honestly!
