The dysons are prone to losing suction every now and then but you can have them
out to service your unit at home for a fixed charge which is considerably
cheaper than buying a new vacuum and quite often depending on the cause they
don't charge you if it is for the replacement of perishable components. We've
had ours for about 5 years have had one full service with virtually all moving
parts replace which I think cost £100, and had the hose replaced through the
post for no charge, my in-laws had the same service on a machine about 3 years
old and weren't charged anything at all.

Jackie,

We have two dyson's, a DC02 upright, and a DC08 Animal, conclusion, no not what
you think, personally I wouldn't buy another. I prefer upright cleaners, but
the DC02 looses suction! needs stripping down and blasting out with a blow gun,
luckily I have a compressor!
The DC08, is a pain to drag around, keep tripping over it, the power brushes
clog up with hair, and so don't operate properly. In all I'm not at all
satisfied with them, so I won't be buying another.
What would I buy? Answer no idea, just not a dyson.

Dave

In all seriousness, I'm in the market for a new vacuum-cleaner, and my son
keeps going on at me to buy a Dyson. I've not had much experience of them, but
lots of people tell me they aren't as good as they are cracked up to be.
How have people got on with them?

And is the talking cleaner very heavy, and can you push it around manually so
to speak? After all, I'm used to having a proverbial broom following me
around. (smile.)

Jackie
