Hi All,

You can stop the iPhone from responding to alerts by using the "Do Not
Disturb" feature. I've got it set to keep the phone quiet between 11pm and
7am, so I can use the phone as an alarm without being disturbed during the
night.

Regards.

Ian

Hi Barry

I don't generally have my iPhone beside me at night either for the same
reason unless I need to set an alarm to get up very early. The dog normally
acts as a very reliable clock!!

I suppose you could use a Nokia phone for its very good clock feature if you
have one, Martin still uses his Nokia C5 in the event Bumble sleeps in!
(smile.)

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Thanks for your quick replies, all.

Well, eBay, cobalt, the RNIB, and Amazon don't sell one as far as I can
find. Plenty of talking clocks, but I want a talking clock radio. I think,
as you say, Jackie, I will have to use my iPhone. I might treat myself to
another charging pad, and I've already got a Bluetooth speaker. The only
slight drawback is getting alerts in the night if I forget to put it into
airplane mode. Still, the bonus is that I can listen to iPlayer if I wake
at stupid o'clock.

Thanks anyway, all.

Cheers

Barry

Hi Niall

I think RNIB sell this pyramid clock don't they?

Barry, if all else fails, use your iPhone and a Bluetooth speaker if you
want a bit of depth to your waking experience.

Hi Barry,

Your question prompted me to search for the talking alarm clock featured
in Daredevil on Netflix.
If you are at all interested, the below link brings you to the said
talking alarm clock.
I'm not sure if the site ships internationally, it was a spur of the
moment search.

Hi all

My Pure Sonus has finally given up the ghost on me. What a superb clock
radio this has been. So, I'm now looking for another talking clock radio,
but there doesn't seem to be any out there. If anyone can point me in the
direction of one, I'd appreciate it. If not, I'll probably just use my
iPhone.

Cheers

Barry
