[access-uk] Talking caller I D phones

Dear all,

 

As I have already written, I have a Panasonic phone that does have talking
caller I D.

 

It doesn’t speak menu items etc, but my son set it up for me.

 

I did buy from Amazon a Doro 100W phone, thinking that everything spoke.

 

However, when my son went to set it up, we could get nothing to speak.

 

He sent an e-mail to Doro, and they wrote back, apologising for the fact
that none of their phone spoke.

 

I wanted a spare Panasonic phone, and my son found a reconditioned one on
EBay for £25. We have gone ahead and ordered this. ?Fortunately the box that
the Doro came in is still in perfect condition so we will return it to
Amazon for a refund.
