Ian thanks for that. As you can see I've started a thread on the TB list about this hoping that someone from the RNIB will comment.

As far as I can see, the only difference is that you can order CDs on demand and it doesn't affect your TB list. You could in theory have nine books out
at a time covering your streaming and TB memberships. However, even here I
don't think there is a real advantage as you can ask that books be put to
the top of your list and I am sure that if you are a student the four book
limit for borrowing in the TB library wouldn't apply. People have asked
about downloading but I can't see that working unless you buy the book.
Copyright restrictions would surely impose some kind of protection on any
book downloaded without paying for it. The only way it can be justified is
by thinking of it as another TB membership which isn't covered by the TB
service.

Ian, What is the difference between the ordinary TB membership and this one,
apart from the streaming aspect?

Maybe this is something that I should move across to your TB list.

Yusuf
You can also order books on CD. They go on to your bookshelf and cannot be
removed I believe until the CD is returned.

I'm not sure, although suspect that the streaming service is a separate
subscription to that of the standard TB service.

Since I prefer to listen to books through my hifi system its not something
I
have considered in great detail.

Humm, is this a "Paying Service" in addition to talking books library?
Or
may I stream books freely as part of my TB subscription? I expected it
was,
unless I wanted to "buy" something to keep hold of? Christine W.
