for all the benefits a talking microwave brings you are probably better 
spending about £60 or so for one from a local electrical store (curries, 
commet etc). just look at one and make sure it has one with a dial rather 
than a touch pad.  You generally find on these you can tell what time you 
have chosen and what power level.  You can if you need to get one of the 
array of cheap talking clocks available and then basically job done just as 
well for under £100.
