Basic Unit price £ 859.00 ex vat (No Remote or DVD function)
With Remote and DVD function £ 995.00 ex vat

Digital Media Centre
A first in accessible digital television radio and digital media services.
The Digital Media Centre is specifically designed to make digital Freeview
services of television, radio and teletext accessible to the blind and
visually
impaired. Program information and user key action is provided with high
quality speech messages spoken to the user.
The Digital Media Centre uses the acclaimed Nebula Electronics DigiTV
product combined to Portset's high quality text to speech solutions which is
specifically
designed to make digital Freeview services of television, radio and Teletext
accessible to the blind and visually impaired. This results in a simple and
totally user accessible form of all Program information and user key action
either from the integral keyboard or from the remote control.
The Digital Media Centre provides spoken information of Now and Next
programs and a 7 day Program Guide (EPG), using Portset's human quality
speech system.
The system is a standalone product measuring 36cm wide, 10cm high and 27cm
deep. User controls are available on the front panel together with a rotary
volume
control, personal headphone connector, front facing stereo speakers, CD/DVD
slot player and Smart Card interface. External audio connector is situated
on the rear panel as is the aerial connection.
The Digital Media Centre provides the following capabilities:
Automatic Tuning. Finds new channels automatically. Daily updates of 7 day
Program guides. Audio Description. Spoken navigational Teletext. Pause and
Resume
of live programs. Record and Playback from internal memory. Audio Mute.
Selection of channels by name and by channel number. Independent volume
adjustment
of television, radio, audio description and speech. Music CD player. Daisy
Talking Book Player.
Options available include a remote control and DVD with audio description.
NOTE: Not all channels and data services are made accessible by their
broadcasters which are currently assumed for visual view access only.
