Hi David

I agree.  We have four old-fashioned striking clocks with hands in our house.

But can anyone recommend a small clock.  I have had a Slimline clock for nearly 
20 years and it is dying.  Most of the new clocks seem to have very strident 
voices and chimes.  And I hate that awful cock crowing alarm!
