If you call the RNIB helpline on 03031239999 they can send you a disk to
remove this announcement permanently through a modification to the firmware.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the announcement that is spoken when
the RNIB talking book players are switchced on, the one that says 36 months
have elapsed since this player was serviced. I find it very annoying.
