I know that Jim and I have heard that myself. Now I actually think that is not a sensible approach and could be a waste of resource. You could end up with hundreds of members receiving it and none of them choosing to use the computer component because they do not use computers. I know many visually impaired people are computer literate but there are those who are not also.

Hi Eleanor,I had cause to call the talking book library this afternoon and took the opportunity to ask about the ptn machine, and the lady informed me that when the ptn's come on stream, it will be on a first-come-first-serve basis, irrespective of length of membership. If your machine breaks down etc, and if you request a new machine it will be the luck of the draw as to what player you are sent.
