Sometimes the "have a nice day" would sound as if the scales were laughing at you too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Godfrey-McKay" <lists.godfrey-mckay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Were they the scales which told you how much you'd lost/gained, and then
told you to "have a nice day"!

I had one of those scales, and loved it. I am sad your scales are biting
the dust.

Subject: [access-uk] Talking Bathroom Scales

Hello Everyone

I know this subject has come up before, but I did not pay any
attention at the time as I was not interested. Sorry.

Our talking bathroom scales that we bought nearly 30 years ago are not
working as well as they used to do. Does anyone have any
recommendations for a replacement.

I know that RNIB and Cobolt Systems sell them. The scales we have at
the moment have 5 memories and a Guest button, so you don't have to
remember what your weight was when you last stepped on. As far as I
can see neither of the new models have this facility, but I could be
wrong.

I would be interested in anyone's opinion.
