Thanks, Usef, for letting me know and, at least, it is of some comfort to know that I'm not alone in experiencing these difficulties. Programmes have been re-scheduled for me on ITV1 but (on one or two occasions) BBC has not been recorded.

Carol, I've had similar problems on a couple of occasions where the box has recorded a program but only the last few minutes of it, which turned out to be the commercials at the end of the program. On both occasions its happened its been on ITV1. It hasn't happened with any BBC channels. Thinking about it, both times the box rescheduled the recording for the repeat on ITV2.

I don't think its a problem of trying to record more than 2 programs at once as when you try to schedule a third you are told there's a problem and offered the solution of rescheduling one of the existing recordings.

Sorry I can't offer any more information on this one.

Hi all,

We hope some can shed light on the problems we have experienced on two
occasions now where recordings have been set but not recorded.

On each occasion it was a busy evening of recording, in our absence, and
in some cases they were rescheduled (automatically by the box) for later
recording.

First, has anyone else experienced these problems in recent weeks? (I
think both may have been on Thursday evenings.)

Now we want to understand what is happening here and decide on our
course of action:

Is it likely that the start and end times were not picked up by the box
and, if so, may we improve the situation with a manual tune?

Our recorder still works and we know that two programmes do still work
at once (ususually), so we are not thinking this is a disc problem; but
would anyone consider that our thinking is not correct here? If so,
please explain your reasons.

We are keen to try to avoid missing programmes in the future so any help
on this matter would be gratefully received.
