Hi Eleanor.

The TVonics Freeview PVR is an absolutely fantastic product and comes highly
commended by me. First off, it’s HD and more up to date in its technology than
the Goodman's, offering HDMI as well as SPDIF connections as well as the
regular scart. You also have the ability to record of course, pause and rewind
live TV and access internet based services like BBC IPlayer though this latter
function along with teletext is not accessible. For £185 including postage
from the RNIB you cant really go wrong. I know TVonics have gone in to
administration and the prognosis is not good for the company, however RNIB will
guarantee all products for 12 months regardless of the position of the
supplier, so you will have this to fall back on should your box develop a fault.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] TVonics

I am interested in this product but I got a Goodman's and now sunds silly but
hate to think of my money down the drain! for the Goodman's. If anyone who has
a TVonics and thinks it is well worth suffering the loss of the Goodman's,
please can you drop me a note off list at eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx as such a
discussion might not be approved of on list. I think I can still obtain one
from RNIB.
