The problem could be the same as I had, that is the signal strength is too low as the box has not picked up the strongest one by using auto-tune. Follow the instructions John posted for manual tune, but the numbers can go above what he quoted to you. I have mine tuned to 47 but this depends on your area. This has been a known problem for a couple of years and is documented on the TVonics area on the digital spy forum pages. Try manual tuning from 21 upwards to get the strongest signal strength you can get, mine is now on 90-95% where it was only 40-45% with auto tuning.

The TVOnics and the television are connected via a SCART lead, which appears to be ok.

The aerial is connected via a booster. This is plugged into an aerial point on the wall. From the booster a cable goes into the TVOnics and another cable goes out to the television. I don't think this is faulty otherwise the television would not get a proper signal, and it seems to be ok.
