Hi Gary and Mo,

I’ve now done a factory reset, so I’ll see how things go.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mo, Mike,

A  factory reset followed by a power down for 15 mins has fixed the problem.

I have also noticed that speech sometimes disappears and is re-instated by a
power down. Perhaps I should power the TVONICS off on a regular basis to
prevent it happening again, there doesn't seem to be a way of knowing it
isn't going to record until it is too late!

Thanks again for your help.

Gary

Hi Gary,

I’ve also had this problem, and after the scheduled recording fails, I also
seem to loose the talking features. Unplugging and re-starting seems to
resolve the problem temporarily.

Hi all,

My TVONICS recorder seems to have developed a strange problem in that it
will no longer make scheduled recordings.

It goes through the motions saying "creating a timer..."  and "...
scheduledfor recording" but no recording is made.  Instant recording works
fine so I am inclined to think that there is a problem with its internal
clock/timer.

Has anyone come across this problem and know of a fix for it?

Thanks for any help

Gary
