Hi Carol.
Do drop me a note off list and i'll be happy to help. I tend to use a service called pockit. They send you a card that you can use for many online transactions. You top the card up either via bank transfer using online banking, or via the phone app or a debit card via their website. once money is on the card, you can then spend it online. It is a prepaid card. It's very useful if you don't want to give out your credit card online.

cheers,

Mo.

Hi all,

Maybe some have views on this so I'll outline briefly.

I now only have one debit card to use for every transaction. Whilst this is OK, it's highly inconvenient should there be a hiccup, lost card, whatever, and I have no plastic to use and no way to get to the bank immediately ...

I know that some have thought it to be a good idea to designate a card for use with the internet only and wonder if that's still a good idea, or not? If anyone has a view on this and/or on which cards you'd steer clear of using, I'd be interested in your thoughts, also bearing in mind that I intend to start to use online banking now. Having thought about this for some years and been content enough to do without the facility whilst by very able husband was able to sort the finances, I now feel this is the way I want to go, though I'm not that confident about doing it.

Thanks for any input.
